Individual Counseling Sessions
Safe Connections offers individual therapy free of charge to adults and adolescents age 14-18 who have experienced rape, abuse (physical, sexual or emotional) and/or childhood sexual abuse. Highly specialized, master's degree level therapists help stabilize clients’ lives, ensure safety and provide guidance toward a violence-free future. Potential clients can contact Safe Connections directly and referrals can be made through the Crisis Helpline, private therapists and other social service agencies. To become a client, an assessment interview must be scheduled.
No insurance is accepted. This enables counselors and clients the independence to decide upon the frequency and duration of therapy visits to best beneift the client.

Case Management
Case managers work in conjunction with our therapists to help women address the environmental stressors in their lives that might otherwise prevent them from engaging in therapeutic counseling, such as:

· Financial issues
· Legal issues
· Medical care
· Education
· Employment
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
Safe Connections recommends The Lead Institute in Columbia, Missouri as a resource for those who are deaf and hard of hearing and also facing issues of domestic violence or sexual assault.
The Safe Connections Helpline is available during business hours M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TTY 314-646-0505 and through relay 24 hours a day
