Full Time Crisis Helpline Advocate

Safe Connections is seeking a Full Time Crisis Helpline Advocate, responsible for assistance in coordinating various aspects of the Crisis Helpline program to support 24- hour coverage of the crisis line including answering Safe Connections’ 24-Hour Crisis Helpline, Crisis Helpline training and observations, supervision of volunteers and/or interns, debriefing with student and crisis workers, and providing support and back-up to the Crisis Helpline staff and volunteers.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other social sciences required; experience providing crisis intervention services to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, previous crisis hotline experience preferred. Ability to be non-judgmental with callers, listen, communicate effectively, share resources and information, and empower others to make their own choices. Ability to coordinate various aspects of programming to support coverage of Safe Connections’ Crisis Helpline; supervisory experience to support interns with learning objectives preferred. Computer experience and knowledge of St. Louis Metro area resources required.

Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator

Safe Connections is seeking a full-time Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator. The Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of Guys Group curriculum. Guys Group is a teen prevention program that empowers youth in schools and alternative settings to explore and challenge their beliefs about dating relationships, consent, respect for girls and women, and healthy masculinity.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Education or Social Services degree preferred. Knowledge of intimate partner and sexual violence is preferred. Qualified candidates will have experience in teaching or public speaking and working with youth from varying demographics. Frequent travel using personal transportation is required.

Adolescent Therapist

Safe Connections is seeking a Full-Time Adolescent Therapist, to provide individual and group therapy to adolescents affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and/or childhood sexual abuse.  Services will be delivered in local high schools and middle schools, residential treatment facilities and at the Safe Connections office on Hampton.

Qualifications

Position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or equivalent and licensure- Current Missouri License preferred – LPC or LCSW. Preferred qualities include: experience providing crisis intervention and counseling for teens impacted by violence, experience providing trauma therapy, experience leading groups, experience working in a school setting, experience developing group curricula, knowledge of community resources, cultural competency.  Bi-lingual preferred. Some evenings are required. Reliable transportation required.

Therapist

Position advancement has created an opening for a Full Time Therapist to provide individual counseling to adults and teens that have experienced relationship and/or sexual violence.

Qualifications
Position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or equivalent; Current Missouri License preferred – LPC or LCSW – with applied knowledge of trauma focused treatment modalities; post-traumatic stress; co-occurring symptoms; and counseling individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. Bilingual preferred.
