Prevention Educator-Project Hart Facilitator

Description

Safe Connections is seeking a full-time Prevention Educator-Project HART Facilitator. The Prevention Educator will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of Project HART, a dating violence and sexual assault prevention curriculum for teens, in schools and alternative settings. The Prevention Educator will also be responsible for other adolescent services programming and professional development training opportunities for adults working with youth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Education or Social Services degree preferred.  Must have knowledge on the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence and experience in teaching or public speaking, preferably with both adult and adolescent populations.

Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator

Safe Connections is seeking a full-time Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator. The Prevention Educator-Group Facilitator will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of Guys Group curriculum. Guys Group is a teen prevention program that empowers youth in schools and alternative settings to explore and challenge their beliefs about dating relationships, consent, respect for girls and women, and healthy masculinity.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Education or Social Services degree preferred. Knowledge of intimate partner and sexual violence is preferred. Qualified candidates will have experience in teaching or public speaking and working with youth from varying demographics. Frequent travel using personal transportation is required.

Adolescent Therapist

Safe Connections is seeking a Full-Time Adolescent Therapist, to provide individual and group therapy to adolescents affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and/or childhood sexual abuse.  Services will be delivered in local high schools and middle schools, residential treatment facilities and at the Safe Connections office on Hampton.

Qualifications

Position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or equivalent and licensure- Current Missouri License preferred – LPC or LCSW. Preferred qualities include: experience providing crisis intervention and counseling for teens impacted by violence, experience providing trauma therapy, experience leading groups, experience working in a school setting, experience developing group curricula, knowledge of community resources, cultural competency.  Bi-lingual preferred. Some evenings are required. Reliable transportation required.

Therapist

Position advancement has created an opening for a Full Time Therapist to provide individual counseling to adults and teens that have experienced relationship and/or sexual violence.

Qualifications
Position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or equivalent; Current Missouri License preferred – LPC or LCSW – with applied knowledge of trauma focused treatment modalities; post-traumatic stress; co-occurring symptoms; and counseling individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. Grants Manager

Safe Connections is seeking a Grants Manager to lead the research, relationship cultivation, production coordination, writing, delivery, and follow-along/up for all grants. The Grants Manager is also the project leader for starting, sustaining, and growing our government grants (federal, state, and municipal) as well as a key contributor to the organization’s strategic Development and Marketing Plan.

The Grants Manager is a full-time, exempt position with a flexible schedule requiring occasional evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in English, journalism, communications, marketing or other relevant area of study; three to five years of grant writing and communications experience with proven track record of grant success; exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communications skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to effectively manage multiple and concurrent projects; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software; passionate, high-energy with a sense of humor and commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • With the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, create and implement an annual grants budget with specified dollar goals and timelines.
  • Manage the identification and renewal process on new and existing federal, state, and local grants.
  • Create and manage relationships with those who oversee and manage private foundation and corporate grants. Research, write and submit private foundation and corporate grants. Conduct necessary follow-along/up, tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Lead quarterly inter-departmental meetings designed to identify needs, proposal direction and content, expected outcomes, and potential funding sources.
  • Provide monthly details about grant acquisition progress for the Development and Marketing Report.
  • Initiate and coordinate off-site and on-site visits and tours for foundation and corporate donors.
  • Manage Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) and Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) credit distribution.
  • Work with donor and client databases for grant trending and outcomes reporting.
  • Oversee and help maintain all foundation and corporate database records.
  • Provide support for primary fundraising events with print communications.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
