“The Oscars” of Fine Art Quilts Says Goodbye to St. Louis
Quilt National fans from throughout the Midwest experienced the quilts in an elegant new space this year, the beautifully restored Peabody Opera House in Downtown St. Louis. This year featured 39 exquisite quilts from around the world. One Missouri artist was featured, long-time Quilt National veteran Springfield’s Pam RuBert, known for her whimsical, cartoon-style quilts. Safe Connections’ most established event, Quilt National directly supports services to reduce the impact and incidence of domestic and sexual violence. These incredible art pieces were on display to the public from November 19-28.
