Why join SCYP?
As a member of SCYP, you will work for a cause that impacts the entire St. Louis community–ending domestic violence and sexual assault. Help raise consciousness around abuse and also increase funding for critical mission work. This includes prevention education, crisis intervention and therapy programs. Participate in SCYP-hosted events throughout the year, including Trivia Night, Light Up the Lotus, awareness events, networking opportunities and more. Additionally, directly support clients served by Safe Connections, including 20,000 teens and adults of all genders who use our services each year.
What are some ways to get involved?
We are always looking for dynamic individuals to connect with us. Help us contribute to Safe Connections’ mission by joining a committee! At this time, we have three SCYP committees:
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee oversees and executes SCYP’s biggest annual event, Trivia Night, as well as planning smaller fundraising events and researching new opportunities to raise funds.
Membership Engagement Committee
The Membership Engagement Committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining SCYP members and identifying potential SCYP members. The committee also hosts monthly welcome meetings about Safe Connections’ work as well as fun service activities like letter writing and donation drives.
Social Marketing Committee
The Social Marketing Committee in collaboration with the Development Department oversees and executes the marketing of all SCYP events, in addition to crowdfunding campaigns, and also promotes general membership through e-newsletters and the SCYP Facebook page.
