Volunteers are crucial to the mission-centered services of Safe Connections and our fundraising capacity. We welcome your involvement with Safe Connections and encourage you to fill out our application above.

Answer our 24-Hour Crisis Helpline

Crisis Helpline volunteers work hand-in-hand with staff members to make sure that no call to our 24-Hour Crisis Helpline goes unanswered. As a Crisis Helpline volunteer, you provide compassionate attention while connecting callers to the most appropriate referrals and resources. Requirements include a screening interview with Safe Connections staff and a 48-hour, multi-session training program. Specifically, this approach builds knowledge, skills and confidence to provide callers with the best possible support. Once the training program has been completed, volunteers must be able to volunteer a minimum of six hours a month for one year.

Become a Safe Connections Young Professional

As a member of Safe Connections Young Professionals, you will work on behalf of a cause that impacts the entire St. Louis community–ending domestic violence and sexual assault. Furthermore, you’ll help to raise consciousness and increase funding for mission work by planning and participating in SCYP-hosted initiatives throughout the year. This is an ongoing opportunity for young professionals in our area between 21-39 years of age who want to give back by planning awareness and fundraising events for Safe Connections. This group is made up of some really great folks who are passionate about our cause and find creative ways to engage other young professionals in the St. Louis area. The SCYPs welcome new members throughout the year.
